The heat is rising around Linda Watanabe McFerrins forthcoming novel, Dead Love. Every day, Erin, the books sassy protagonist, blogs on the darker things in life. Last week we posted a few sample pages from the manga that will be included in the deluxe hardcover edition. And this week we are excited to announce a book trailer contest!

The basic idea is this: Make a trailer based on the characters and themes of Dead Love, upload it to YouTube, post it to our YouTube group, and encourage people to vote!

Videos must be between 30 seconds and 2 minutes long. They must include mention of the name of the novel (Dead Love), the author (Linda Watanabe McFerrin), the publisher (Stone Bridge Press), and the pub date (September 2010). Otherwise, were wide open to everything strange, spooky, lo-fi, and memorable.

Remember, this is a popularity contest! The video with the most votes by 12am on September 13th (note new deadline), will be the winner! Spread the word. Go viral! Use your Facebook and Twitter accounts to get people psyched.

The winner will receive $100, a Dead Love t-shirt, signed by the author, and a copy of the limited hardcover edition of the book, also signed by the author.
