Excerpt: The Inland Sea by Donald Richie

Michael Palmer - Wednesday, March 30, 2016

This month Stone Bridge Press announced its first Flash Fiction Series call for submissions based around travel writing in Japan. You can read more about what, why, when, who and how on the announcement page in our blog.

To stoke a little bit of the creative fire I pulled a beautiful excerpt from Donald Richie's The Inland Sea in which he describes finding an abandoned shrine on top of a mountain in the beginning of his journey. Enjoy!
