Big thanks to Andrew Osmond who included two Stone Bridge Press Books on his list of ten books to own on Anime research.

Included are The Anime Encyclopedia 3rd Revised Edition: A Century of Japanese Animation by Jonathan Clements and Helen McCarthy, and our upcoming manga biography on Osamu Tezuka, The Osamu Tezuka Story: A Life in Manga and Anime by Toshio Ban and Tezuka Productions, Translated by Frederik L. Schodt. 

"So you love Japanese animation, and want to make yourself an expert. Of course you use Google and Wikipedia to broaden your knowledge, but web sources are reliably unreliable, especially when discussing a medium rather older than the internet. Sometimes there’s no alternative to hitting the books."
